AG Radio Welcome to the best night of your life
Actress Camille Winbush, known for her role as Vanessa Thomkins in The Bernie Mac Show, has opened up about why she chose to create an OnlyFans account.

Three years ago, Winbush began creating content on the adult platform to supplement her income beyond acting. On Friday, the 34-year-old sat down with Comedy Hype to discuss her decision, revealing that her residual checks are not enough to live on.
“When people say, ‘Oh, those Bernie Mac checks must have dried up,’ I’m like, ‘From a job 20 years ago when I was a 12-year-old? Yeah. Like, duh,’” Winbush said. “Listen, if I was on Friends making a million dollars an episode, yes, those residual checks would still be very nice. But as time goes on, they get smaller and smaller every year. You’re not making the same amount that you were when the show was current. Twenty years later, those checks are not sustainable for a living.”
She continued, “With the industry being as fickle as it is, you can’t count on any job to last or even to book a job. Over the years, I’ve done regular nine-to-fives. I owned an ice cream shop [Baked Ice] for three years when I was a teenager, funded with my own money. I taught gymnastics to kids, making like $11-$12 an hour. So, I’ve done that, but if I can find a way to make enough to buy a home from the comfort and safety of my own living room, why wouldn’t I do that?”

When news about Winbush’s account surfaced, she faced immediate backlash. Despite the critics, her family stood by her choice and supported her decision. The actress questions why her content isn’t viewed like an actor playing a stripper or engaging in multiple sex scenes, especially since she has a strict “no nudity” policy on her profile.
“It makes me wonder, is it the platform itself or the content? Because the content would be the same. I would say my content is comparable to what you would see in a Maxim magazine—not even really Playboy,” she added. “Yeah, sometimes I wear sheer lingerie and dance around, but I’m never nude. I’m not doing anything sexually explicit. Honestly, you can see more on Instagram and Twitter or on a runway than what I’m showing. So, it’s not as scandalous as people assume it is.”
Currently, subscriptions to Winbush’s account are free, but she pledges to send a “personal thank you” to anyone who purchases items from her linked Amazon wish list, which features lingerie, sexy costumes, and various gift cards.
